PRSI class for former public servant returning to the public service on a contract basis

Say someone was previously a modified PRSI contributor in the public sector and has left service.

If he/she returns to work in the public sector, will he/she be subject to Class A in respect of the "new" employment?

If the break is greater than 6 months, PRSI A and new pension scheme will apply.
