Printer prints pictures but not word doc's

I've got a Canon Printer. If I try to print Word doc's / PDF's - it just shoots out a blank page. If I print out a picture it works fine. I've tried uninstalling the printer but keep getting the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this? Cheers.

New one on me.

Two things.

Check you have your fonts installed correctly.

Take the make and specific model number and start Googling with terms like

trouble
printer
blank sheet
.pdf problems
.doc problems

in the search string and see if others have a shared experience.

Other than that (or someone on AAM being clued in enough to help) you could try contacting Canon.

Black cartridge not working maybe?

Try printing the head alignment page and make sure all colours are good.

I'll fiddle around with it. Tried printing the head alignment page - it came out with black and blue boxes. Tried printing the test page - says it tests for graphics and text. The windows logo printed out but no text.

Did the nozzle test print and it all came out fine.
