Is the done thing to buy a token gift as a 'congrats for being pregnant' or should I wait? The husband is my friend, I don't know the wife really (we have a bit of history from school days though). I mean it in the nicest way, and it's well over 6 months, so I kind of wanted to make peace. I thought it was a nice gesture, but my mother said it wasn't the done thing.

I should add this is a guy I talk to twenty times a day and see pretty much 5 time a week....I'm not mad on the wife (I just thought this could be an ice breaker,,! He's my ex from 5 years agi, we've all moved on
