Passport signature

I received my passport recently. The accompanying letter states that I should sign page 3 in the space provided. However page 3 is laminated and it isn't clear where to sign. I've checked my expired passport but it looks like it was signed before it was laminated. Apologies in advance if I'm having a senior moment :)
 
I got a new passport this year, pages 1 & 2 are laminated. Page 3 is paper, has a big 3 on it along with a very clear line that has signature written under it.
 
Thanks for replying. Just checked it again and pages 2 & 3 are definitely laminated.
