Bit of a buzz to get it out of the way. Am an offroader at heart (as is my bike) so wont be found on any main roads (risk plays on my mind, especially with smallies at home).

So fields and forestry tracks beware....

(plus I got the licence today so the 2 year clock starts ticking for when the midlife crisis proper hits and I'm legal on the biggest bike going the road..... lets hope it doesnt come to that:D)

Congrats Betsy, the 2 years won't be too long passing....I'm counting down the days/months myself (passed in July 2009!).

And I'm just starting.
Buying a bike in winter...smart move, huh ? :)

Congrats anyway, I'll resurrect this thread when I pass !

Well done Betsy

No pass your L plated vest on to some new beginner.

Will bring them luck :)

I know buying in winter you think you wont use it as much or whatever, but accepted wisdom is that its cheaper to buy in winter.

Most important thing for anyone starting just now is make sure you get your provisional before the new RSA rules kick in and you've to pay for 15 hours tuition. (thread on here about it a few months back). Now tuition is definitely recommended (stay alive above all else), but 15 hours might make it prohibitively expensive for some/many.

Best of luck, enjoy it.
