A friend was thinking of buying a 2 bed duplex off the plans in this development in the hope of gaining some capital appreciation......

just wondering do you think this is a good investment? from what Im reading here it seems going into something else would be better??

Also this development is at the top of poppintree park in between ballymun and finglas is this not dublin 11??

Hi there ADK,
Have had a look at the link, and would you believe it yes this is Finglas (or glasnevin north) Dublin 11.


I should know I live near there.
This development is being built on Popintree Park (Ballymun), which up until now was leased to Dublin City Council, for use as a park.

This could be a new town like adamstown called BallyFinglevin!!!

Sorry would I buy there, no for several reasons there are people who have bought in a neaby new estate who have the houses for sale as there are rumered to be problems there.

Also this land has been privately owned for years and leased to DCC, and now they build! BOI/AIB, and HOK all selling their assets now.
