Due to lack of space I was thinking of some sort of foldable double bed, I saw this on Amazing Spaces and it looks just what I had in mind https: //youtu.be/CZikWEVArSA, this is of course a one off so where to buy these?

I can't follow that link so have no idea what type of bed it is, but we have a double bed in a couch and that makes the room look good for most of the time and can be pulled out if we have visitors. It's really easy to use too and has a good mattress but I bought it at an auction for about €60 about 15 years ago so no idea where you get them in Ireland.

The only real off-the-shelf options are the metal framed options, wall beds, or sofa beds as suggested by Bronte.

A good cabinet maker will likely be able to make up something very similar to the Amazing Spaces one. Good boat furniture makers or RV/camper van specialists would also be used to making adaptable furniture.

Wow both websites look great, especially the wallbeds one! Although I fear out of my price range, yes I didn't mention it's for a small second home so the budget is what it is.. :/ What do you mean metal framed options? I saw this one on Amazon but it says single bed amazon.it/Miadomodo-soggiorno-estraibile-scomparsa-salvaspazio/dp/B01DJ3UZAO/ref=sr_1_37?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1461079608&sr=1-37-spons&keywords=letto+a+scomparsa&psc=1, something like that looks pretty nice to me, it looks metal so I gather other similar affordable beds are out there

In my link (or what's left of it) there is an example of metal framed sliding bed. I just looked for it when I read your comment about metal beds, until then I hadn't even thought of those, you're right it's certainly a good option and they look well romantic which would suit my room fine.
