was i imagining it ,
But when the New rules of the Road book was released last year in ireland ,
as part of their initiative did'nt the government say that every home in ireland would get that book free of charge
or was it just another "marketing spin " ?

or was i dreaming !

Re: New rules of the Road book

We got our copy last week. Maybe your one is in the post?

Re: New rules of the Road book

Yep, I got one, and so did most of my friends.

It makes very interesting reading. A lot of 'laws' are pretty straight forward... but then there are 'suggestions' on how you should drive/behave/maintain your vehicle. There's an awful lot of grey areas, more than I realised.

Came in handy in our house - our 2 year old spent about an hour looking for pictures of choo-choos in it! :)

Re: New rules of the Road book

I got it and read it (if only just to confirm my long standing opinions on pedestrians rights when crossing at junctions).

Re: New rules of the Road book

Got a copy a couple of weeks ago and managed to spill water on it so it's all warped now.

First sections I looked at were roundabouts and motorways.

Did not get one - saw the one in my parents house - jeez its a far cry from the one I had when doing my test when I was a young fella!

If anybody is urgently waiting for a copy then I'm sure that their local public library has one that they can look at.
