New Front door. Yale lock too high

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I recently had a new front door installed -very nice wood with attractive leaded glass inset. All sounds lovely except the installing carpenter placed the yale lock quite high up on the door requiring me to stand on toppy toes to insert key. I told him it was too high but he said it was standard height and could not be undone. I think I have been done and feel quite dissapointed with the whole door project. Anyone know is it easy to change the location of a yale lock on a door without leaving a gaping hole in the door. Thanks for any advice

You could put in a second lock lower down and remove bolt from top lock so it is always unlocked. the door will look like it has two locks when really only one works.

There probably is a way to remove top lock and repair door including repainting etc, I'm not an expert but I'd say it would be costly.
