Hi everyone,

I am looking for help and maybe, you will be able to provide it to me.
Actually, I am a jobseeker and I got an opportunity with an american company which has a virtual office in London.
They want to take me on board for 40k€ per year for a work from home position 'so based in Dublin).
Actually, they gave me a first contract that was a UK contract, but as I am currently living in Ireland, it did not take in consideration the irish taxes.
Now, they are offering me a contractor agreement.
I have several questions :
1./ a-When you are a contractor for a company, do you have the same rate of tax ( 20% under 36k€/yr and 41% above 36k)?
b- Is there any other tax that are apply to that status ? Do I have to create a company to be eligible for that status ?
2./ Does anyone know a type of contract (US or UK contract) that the company could give to me instead of that one ?

I hope someone will be able to help me.

Thank you in advance,

Regards.

Your tax rate will stay the same; income tax payable in Ireland.
Avoid setting up a limited company if you can.
Other than that it's down to the business you are dealing with.
Read the contract carefully but don't sweat it too much, most employers want their employees to be happy and stay working for them.
