Spent some of my younger years in Dublin and danced to the showbands in National Ballroom and Irene Ballroom in Parnell Square. Went back on nostalgic trip last week and noticed both delapidated and closed up. Also saw a pathetic plaque outside the National Ballroom dedicated to the three Miami Showband members killed in the North. What is the National building now used for or is it left to fall down? I thought the Irene Ballroom re-opened?
