We are due to purchase/sell new home/existing home in the next week.
Does anyone think it is possible to drawdown the mortgage for the new house before receiving the funds from the sale of my current house. Our purchasers bank is delaying sending the funds to close the selling of our current home. Their solicitor requested the funds 4 days ago and was told today the earliest will be end of next week but my solicitor has already requested the funds for the new house on the basis that we we would have close the purchase today/tomorrow.
I ask because we have plans in place to move in Monday - removals, services, schools and so on.
I doubt this can happen but would like to know. Our solicitor has asked and the bank (AIB) will advise tomorrow if this will be allowed.
