Hi folks, not sure if im posting in the right section. recently moved into a mobile while rebuilding. The mobile is 39*10. Its all heated by gas, through vents at floor level. WE have been in now two weeks today and already we have gone through a large drum of gas.
We havent been in the mobile much during the day as we both work and the heating would be one on average 3 hours in the evening. haven't use the oven more than twice i would think in the past two weeks so i am surprised at how quick its gone.

Been thinking this morning about installing a little wood burner instead of the gas heater in the living room.

First off would you expect the gas to last longer than it did?
If this is normal could any one offer reccomendations on stove? What type of headache would be involved in installing a stove. would really appreciate advice

What about a mobile gas stove such as one of these:

You can use them wherever you require the heat and they are pretty energy efficient. I use mine for a home office most days and the canister usually lasts around a month for 3-4hrs usage per day.
