Mobile calls to Northern Ireland

Hi all
My DH and I live in Dublin. I have an Irish moblie account and my DH who works in Belfast has a UK mobile account. We really try to limit the amount of calls/texts because our bills are very high but even a small amount of usage can add €150 to each of out bills each month.

Does anyone have any experience of networks/methods that can reduce our bills at all?

With Three you can use half your inclusive minutes to ring UK mobiles or landlines. On the €60 a month tariff you could get 325 minutes to UK
