I was recently involved in the case of a friend who was a missing person.

Last weekend I was chatting to a member of a missing persons organisation (can't remember their name) who said that in the past 4 years over 40,000 people have gone missing in Ireland alone.

Is it just me or is this a crazy amount of people? It slipped my mind at the time to ask how many out of that were found, does anyone know?

After looking at the list of missing people it is amazing the number of forigners that are on it

I'd imagine many of those have left the country, but can't be removed from the register unless their whereabouts are confirmed.

What's with all the Chinese names?

They are all young too, student age

I seem to recall one of the papers running a story last year saying many of them came here on student visas to learn English, but soon vanished, many taking black market jobs across the EU.
