I am hoping to apply for a mathematics degree for next September and was wondering if you think employers would generally consider these degrees on a similar level (assuming the same result). Or would one generally be a lot better to have than the others?

Queen's University, Belfast: Mathematics BSc
As a full time undergraduate
(a Russell Group Uni)

University of London: Mathematics & Economics BSc
Distance learning degree

Open University: Mathematics & Statistics BSc
Distance learning degree

Thanks! :)

Would you be interested in following it up with a H Dip in Ed and becoming a teacher. They are always on about the shortage of qualified maths teachers.

Wouldn't really want to go into teaching to be honest.

Though I'd certainly consider doing a MSc in a topic other than maths after completing a maths BSc.

Ireland has a maths intervarsities every year so you can get some idea of the rankings of the unis. Maybe the Uk has something similar.
