Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could clarify what my wife is entitled to in her current situation.
She is pregnant and due in June
She quit her job in Dublin on 1st March due to us relocating back down the country, having been in full employment with same employer for 4 years.
She has applied for maternity benefit and is eligible due to her finishing work inside the 16 week threshold before expected due date. She has applied for tax back for Jan and Feb of this year and is awaiting a response from Revenue. Is she due all the tax she paid back?
She has also elected to pass her credits over to me as I will be the assessable spouse. How long should it take before I receive these credits and notice a difference in my wages. Relevant form sent into revenue 1 week now.
After her 26 weeks of maternity benefit are up she plans to look for employment again. If say she is looking for a job for 3 months what benefits can she claim during this time? does she still have 26 weeks of stamps to claim?
