Hi

Do you have to pay the property tax for a property in NI, even though you are resident in ROI and paying tax in ROI.

Rates are payable in NI each year.

What are your tax liabilities in the south when you own

1. An unoccupied house in the north

Or

2. A rented house in the north

Thanks

You don't pay Irish property tax on a property outside the jurisdiction. If you're renting this property out I presume you pay tax to HMS revenue and no doubt their own propety tax, I think it's called the Poll tax.
