Lodging cheque payable to power of attorney into bank account.

Hi
Can somebody please advise if a cheque issued as follows:

Pay to "JANE BLOGGS
AS ATTORNEY FOR
MARY SMITH"

can be paid into Mary Smith's bank account (for which the power of attorney information has been supplied to the bank).

I was hoping to be able to lodge the cheque using Mary Smith's ATM card, without having to go to the counter etc., but wanted to be sure that there are no issues.
