Liverpool Dublin ferry - is it comfortable/reliable?

I was thinking of using it for the return leg of a UK trip on my own in car later in summer.

Sailing is 930pm - 430am which kind of suits my plans and cabin included. It’s less driving than to Holyhead and fare seems comparable.

I’ve never taken the sailing (nor have known anyone who has). From what I read online the boat is smallish but otherwise fine. Is there anything I’m missing?

It was a long time ago - from dim and distant memory, don't have too high an expectation in regards to food or general comfort , bring your noise cancelling headphones & knitting/ crosswords, down load your netflix /audio books in advance.

Make sure the cabin is not too near the engines as happened to us many, many moons ago. Heat and noise were horrific but hopefully things have changed since then :)

it's like any of the ferries, fine in the good weather, horrible if the weather isn't great, especially with kids.
