Hi,
I've just received a quote from a solicitor for the legal fees in purchasing a new house and I'm a little confused about the difference between the "Land Registry Title" (€675) and the "Registry of Deeds Title" (€308) - is this something I choose or is it up to the seller? What is the difference between them?
I know the amount of the fees is minute compared to the overall cost of a house purchase, but I'd like to be less ignorant... The solicitor's professional fee comes in at €907 so I think I'm getting a good deal all round, so there might be some truth to "ignorance is bliss(ish)"
