Funny enough I was thinking of posting about Karma, prompted by one of those "things your mother used to say" articles. So it was something like "What's for you wont pass you", and the comment was that for a staunchly catholic country Irish mammies had a great belief in karma.

Other examples are "What goes around comes around", "live by the sword, die by the sword", "he had it coming".

So the notion of karma is not alien to Ireland, maybe it was always there is the form of piseogs, fear of offending the fairies etc. etc.

But to answer your question "No" is the answer, but sure where's the harm in acting like it exists........

Only in so far as it relates to the 'Karma Chameleon', but even then it comes and goes. I say this as a man without conviction, a man who doesn't know.
