Just wondering if anyone can help me out here ..
I worked full time for 13 years and was made redundant last June (2009). I claimed Jobseekers benefit for 6 weeks and was lucky enough to get a temporary job which lasted till November. I claimed again for 4 weeks and got another temporary job which lasted till May of this year. I have just signed on again. I am now pregnant and due on the 1st October. I have been told I am entitled to a maternity benefit which commences on the day the baby is born for 6 months but no matter where I search online I cannot find out any information. I would be interested to hear from anybody who can tell me.
