Is it too late to plant lawn seed in a garden

Hi all, we had planned on sowing our garden during the summer but due to all the rain we couldn't get it in. Is it now to late to plant lawn seed? Will it grow? It is a pretty dry site.

Our garden is in west Cork in the countryside, facing north.

No this is the ideal time for sowing grass seed

One of the reasons that now is the ideal time, is that weeds don't grow much during the winter so less for the grass to compete with. Good luck with your lawn!
Just beware of birds eating a lot of the seed - some strips of tinfoil bent over a string should do the job.
