Is an employee entitled to sign on if they are put on a 4 day week

Just a question a friend has asked in relation to her shop....If an employer reduces your working week to 32 hours from 40 hours, with your agreement, can you sign on for the one day...?

What if one of the 4 days was a Sunday...? They would then have 3 of the 6 days Mon-Sat where they wouldn't be working.

In that scenario, yes, they can sign on as sunday does not count for SW purposes.
