Interview question - choosing to apply for one job over another

2 jobs with the same salary and the same grade were advertised in a company. One job description has a lot more roles and responsibilities than the other. I applied for the one which suited me best - the one with the smaller list of roles and responsibilities!
I was just wondering, if I was asked in an interview "Why did you go for job X over Y?", how would I answer it?
