There is no way I would cancel my son's health insurance. I recently renewed and was told that routine procedures would more than likely be done in beacon, blackrock clinic or mater private. Temple st, crumlin and tallaght are too busy.
It is scary but you do skip the queue with health insurance. My nephew injured himself last year (June)and needed an mri. Was told there was a 3 month wait????? Then my sis remembered he had health insurance, he got it the next day. A letter in Nov 2016 in for his Mri!!!
He now has another injury and is attending the sports clinic in santry at the moment. He does not live in Dublin so travels up.
We have never had to use it for our son thank God but got him a policy that has good day to day.
