Installing a stone counter top - DIY

I have a good supply-only quote for a stone composite top for my kitchen island but installation would be expensive. Could this be a DIY job and what is involved? There would be no cuts for sink or hob, just a table-top on the counters really.

"installation would be expensive" - can't see how that can be.

when the lads were putting the granite on my island - they put silicone onto a few units and lifted it into place -moved it around to be perfect - job done - took about 10 mins.

ask them what is involved in installing a top onto a few carcass' ?
