Imorting Jeep From Uk Through Company

Hi There,

I'm wondering if anyone can shed a bit of light on the following for me:

I'm looking to import a Jeep from the UK thought my company. My plan is to then convert the jeep into a commercial vehicle by permamently removing the back seats (there are a number of companies that do this here). I then go to the VRT office and pay the €50 VRT because the vehicle is now a commercial. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if it has been done before. I would have no plans to try to put the seats back in as some people have been doing. The jeep would be used on a commercial basis for my business.?

The second thing that I was wondering if possible is to either claim the 17.5% VAT back if the vehicle is being advertised on the dealers site as VAT Qualifying. I'm also wondering if it is possible not to have to pay the VAT to the dealer at time of purchase. I know that if my comapny buys goods from any EU state that there is no VAT chargable, this comes under the Inerstat legislation.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on my queries???
