I was allowed to vote without a polling card and was not asked for ID. Mind you its a very small area so maybe the polling clerks had seen me around and knew me to see me?
This would be understandable alright. Everyone with the vote in our electoral area would be known to them (all 32 of us). I suppose it might be more relevant in a bigger urban station.
