Hi All,
My friends parents are self employed and every year send in their 'accounts' (a detailed list of income expenditure etc written carefully into a copy) to a 'guy' (who has no accountancy qualifications). This guy I believe simply takes their figures and enters them into the self assessment forms for tax returns, and gets them to sign it before sending it off to revenue.
My question is: How easy would it be for my friend to send in this form himself on behalf of his parents? Could a 'ROS' account be set up and would this make it easier? The guy gets a couple hundred every year for doing the job, but I'm questioning what it is that he actually does that my friend could not do.....
Many thanks,
Matt
