How do pull down TV screens work?

I know that this is probably a stupid question but how do pull down tv screens with projectors actually work? I need a bigger tv but I think the large flat screens are very intrusive in a room and I thought a pull down screen would be much less so but I haven't a clue how they work. I have the usual tv with NTL top box at present.

A projector placed on your ceiling, you will hace to run power supplies, audio and coax cables to your projector, if you have access to do all that then your laughing, i have it done myself, it's brilliant and well worth the effort for you to do it

Only issue is for sunny days so invest in a decent set of curtains or blinds.
