How do I find out who owns a boundary wall ?

Am thinking of buying a house that faces out onto a small green area. Behind the area is land that has been zoned development. There are two parcels of land owned by two different builders.

One builder has applied to build a number of apartments and houses and the other parcel of land is not quite sold yet but assume it will be more houses/aparments.

There is a wall between the small green area in front of 'my house' and then the boundery wall (about 6ft) and then the development land. Access to the development land is currentley through another development (the parcels of land are at the back of this development)

Would the concil own the wall ? Could the developers every take down part of the wall to give access to the new houses through our estate ?

How would I go about finding this out ?

Hope I have explained this properly :)

Thanks for that...didn't really find anything there. I spoke with the builders that are looking for planning permission for the land and the guy was not sure who owned it.

Will talk to my solicitor and see what he can find out

Thanks
