How do I buy shares?

I have no account with any stockbroker and would like to buy shares to take advantage of the current fall. Im only talking of €1,000 worth!

What is the quickest and cheapest way to buy US shares at the moment?

If anyone knows of someone that could assist please PM (if its allowed)

Set up a spread betting account.

You can set it up in minutes.

Try worldspreads or deltaindex to name 2.

I may be missing something, but I thought there was similar documentation required for spreadbetting as a stockbroker account

I can't remember exactly what is required but i remember i set my account up with igindex in minutes.

I faxed over whatever details were required and it was done.

I think you need stuff like utility bills and the usual.

Obviously if you don't have that stuff at hand then you can't set your account up today to buy google shares.
 
If that was over a year ago then chances are there are stricter requirements because of Mifid
 
I am in the process of setting up account with Campbell O'Connor. They e mailed me app form which I completed and sent off with usual anti money laundering documentation certified by local garda station. Now just have to send off cheque and can start buying whatever shares I want. All pretty painfree.
