I can probably guess the answer but just thought I would ask.
My wife & I bought our house 7 yrs ago. It had a converted standly cooker (burns oil).
We had some problems with it recently and got 2 seperate guys out to look at it and both were of the opinion that it was not worth fixing, better off to replace
Alas, with my wife being made redundant and me being the only one working, we do not have the money to pay for new burner plus labout (have some quotes already).
Q. Our home insurance is with Bank of Ireland. Does not know if our home insurance will cover replacement of a new oil burner? I am suspecting "no" i.e. our policy is not a maintenance contract with BOI so does not cover wear & tear.
Anyway, just thought I would ask.
