Has anyone purchased a Dash Cam lately?

I was looking on Amazon and a lot seem like junk, they are unreliable according to the reviews.

I require one with good definition and a GPS to show my speed. The GPS would come in handy to show my speed as I record a speed camera van, the vans are not reliable and can give a false speeds, so that I would have a cross reference.

The ultimate would be if I could install it in my radiator grill and wire it back to a dual Sat Nav/Video recorder.

Thanks Suzie. ajapale, they record in a loop of about 1 to 1.5 hrs.
Note I also require one with GPS to record speed on the video.

Discussion on accuracy of GPS V's Car Speedo split out here.

We will keep this thread to discuss dash cams.

Good call AJ.

So, here's one [broken link removed], has built in GPS tracking.

You could also use a bluetooth OBD2 connector paired with the Torque app which can log diagnostics data direct from the ECU. The Torque app can use your device's camera and GPS receiver and combine the ECU data with a video of the journey.
