What are the implications of sending a gift of €100,000 from Russia to Ireland? The gift would be parent-to-child gift (the child being permanently resident in Ireland, the parents being permanently resident in Russia). Are there tax liabilities, etc? Or is there a limit as to how much of a gift can be given?

As far as I am aware there are no tax implications in this instance as a child can receive over €400,000 tax free from parents.
