Getting rid of Old Washer Dryer

Argos had recently delivered a Washer Dryer to my house and unable to take the old Washer dryer cos it was not disconnected. :(
Now, how can I get rid of this old appliance? do anybody know 'handy man' who can pick this old appliance and charge small amount.
 
Can you get it back to Argos in the 30 day period in which you are allowed to do this under WEEE rules in this case? See [broken link removed].
 
Argos were obliged to give you hours notice of the delivery to allow you time to disconnect, otherwise they have to call again and collect it.
 
Also, most civic recycling facilities will take WEEE appliances from you without charge. The main issue being that you'll have to arrange transport, as opposed to your supplier collecting it when they drop off the new purchase. Definitely pursue what NiallA says in the first instance.
