Getting rid of old paint cans,with contents.

It should be the law, that if you sell paint, you have to take back and dispose of unused paint!

Wouldn't that be a fantastic solution, or skips with separate storage perhaps and additional bad exclusively for paint and other solvents

Worked for a painter years ago in the USA. He’d throw all old leftover paints into the larger buckets of the main paint, mix it, and then use it as an undercoat.

If you’ve a big enough job, and the old paint is neutral(ish), perhaps mix it all up and use as an undercoat.

(We were painting a school and gym, so we had loads of scope to do this without it affecting the final look).

Mightn’t work on a smaller job.
