Getting regular updates of real rates

I am working on a project where I need the real mortgage interest rates, not just APR's, for all Irish Banks. Most banks have these online - except four: AIB, Ulster, First Active & ICS (Mortgage Store).

Could someone help me with a source for these - I am writing to the banks directly also, but was wondering if any brokers or mortgage specialists on AAM could advise? Is there another (reliable, complete and uptodate) site or do the banks have an email update I could get added to?

thanks for any leads you can provide...

I've had a response form The Mortgage Store as follows to my request for the real rates:
"Due to constaints imposed on us by the financial we are no longer allowed to display the actual rate that applies to a product. We do not have a mailing list for people who request the actual rate as this would be in breach of the same regulations.
If you are requesting the information in relation to applying for a mortgage I would suggest you contact a Mortgage Consultant ..."

Before I talk to them, is there any reason why the financial (ombudsman?) would prevent a bank from showing the underlying interest rates as well as the APR. Sounds to me like the bank wants to hide the real rate for some reason, just not sure why...

congratulations on the top link in the new Irish Times blog, by the way.

Thanks

What do you mean by "real" rates? If you mean nominal rates then bear in mind that for the purposes of comparing like with like the APR is "more real" than the nominal rate. See [broken link removed] for example.
