Gas Supply

Hello,

I'm converting from oil to Gas. I had networks around and they said they could mole up the drive no problem, put a meter on the side of the house, surface pipe the rest of the way up the side entrace to the boiler.

However, I was talking to my neighbour and he said that there is an existing connection. I knew this as it was in the garage, and when we converted it we boxed off the pipe (but left it accessible enough).

He said that this is the very connection that gives him his gas, since 15 years ago. I assumed that the connections were all dead (having been installed in the 60s).

Anyone know if I can use this connection and how would it work with meters etc.?

you can point this out to bord gais but the old pipe could be damaged over the years.. we recently did a job in glasnevein and made a similar query for our client but once tested they recommended a new pvc coated pipe installation
