Looking for advice on the above problem which occurred last night when the boiler tripped . When I tested it this morning the boiler worked without any problem. I had the boiler serviced by Vokera about 6 weeks ago.

Not up to speed on the terminology. The trip switch for a socket on the domestic fuse board (?) was tripped. Thanks for the interest.

the domestic fuse board will have MCBs and also may have RCDs.

Most boilers wont be protected by an RCD (mine isn't), although every circuit in a house will be protected by one MCB.

If it's the MCB (you'll probably have about 8 MCBs) , the problem is that more than the maximum allowed current flowed through the circuit

It shouldn't happen. It could happen if the live current short circuited and went to ground, or if there is a faulty component on the boiler which allowed too much current to flow through it.

Tell Volkera about it, problems like this dont go away by themselves
