Funds sitting in account after SEPA payment done in branch

Hi all,
Had to do a large funds transfer in branch (as amount exceeds online banking limits) from my bank (BOI) to another Irish bank.

So successfully did the SEPA payment, got a transaction paper receipt from the member of staff and verified all details are correct.

I did the payment in the morning and checking in the afternoon shows that the funds haven't been deducted from my account yet.

Is this the norm for SEPA payments? I'm just used to funds been deducted instantly when doing transfers via online banking.

Unless you pay extra for an urgent transfer (about €25, I think) it take about two days when you do it from the BOI branch.
