Hi,
I'm looking at purchasing a city apartment off-plan in France - not leaseback.
As I understand it, one notary acts for both parties and this provides you with assurances on the legal title etc.
I'm not clear on his/her total responsibilites and am wondering if a solicitor is also advisable to check other aspects of the deal - mgt/service chgs, type of rental lease allowed or anything else?
I'm thinking of an english-speaking solr in France rather than Ireland. Some of them offer extra services such as liasing with estate agents/notary to move the whole transaction along.
Thanks
