Form 11 and maternity benefit

In the annual state of confusion completing the OH's Form 11 and hoping someone can help with a specific question.
In 2016, MrsD received 6 months maternity pay and her employer topped up her pay. Her tax credits and higher rate cut off point were adjusted for this over the 26 weeks.

When completing the Form 11, the maternity benefit received is highlighted in the PAYE/BIK/Pensions (2) section.
But do I also need to enter it in the box below the highlighted section?

If I do, it is then obviously taxed.
But is that not double taxation as her credits/cut off point for income tax were already reduced during 2016? Which resulted in more tax being paid than should have been the case.

Thanks

It should be entered into the Form so that it is taxed but you should also receive your full cut-off point and full tax credits etc on the form so it "should" balance out

You should print either the full Form 11 or the Calculation summary to check that

1. The Maternity pay is included in the Total Income section
2. You are receiving full cut-off & tax credits (incl PAYE tax credits)

Feel free to send me a pic if you want me to have a quick look for you
