I have a 2010 Ford focus zetec 1.6. The oil light came on 2 days ago and i put a litre of castrol oil in but it's still on. Anyone else have this or know why?

The original fault could have been one of many things.
Faulty sensor, blocked filter, dodgy loom.

When did you get it and are you sure it was serviced?
It may be one of the service light warnings.

Did you check the dipstick when you put the oil in?
Overfilling can cause the head gasket to blow.

It should be well within warranty, shouldn't it?
Take it to your dealer - keeping the revs down.

Ford Focus Turbo Diesel -noisy!

Thanks onq. Went back to dealer and they said the light was never reset at the last service.

Another thing which I didnt think to ask when I was there. Is it normal for a pretty loud fan like noise to stay on when the engine has stopped? Could it be the turbo engine? Never had a turbo before so have never experienced this noise....

Nothing to do with being a turbo charged engine, a lot of modern cars have electric cooling fan run on after shut down.
So without actually hearing it, I would give odds that it is the cooling fan.
All normal.

Ok thanks. Had been a little concerned after hearing it!
