Ford Focus Airbag Light

Hi guys,

Airbag light is begun to stay on on my wifes Ford Focus.

I've brought it to a ford garage regarding this a couple weeks back but when they started up the car the light didnt come on.

It was hit or miss whether the light would come on a couple weeks back but recently as soon as the car begins to drive the light comes on.

The Ford garage did say that they couldnt find any problem with the airbag and said that when it happens again to drive straight out to the garage with the airbag light on.

Anyone come across this before ?

If so, any ideas what is causing this ?

yeah this can be a problem on early focus usually 00ish main problem is seat belt pretensioners. mainly due to crap stuffed under the seats getting caught in wiring loom when people are sliding the seats back and forth
