Hi,
I am connected with a local foootball club, we raise badly needed funds by selling weekly lotto.

Could anybody tell me is there a limit over which the lotto prize cant go ? We are presently at €9,000.00 and this rises by €200 per week. Thats if of course if the Jackpot is not won.

If there is a limit, could any body direct me to the particular law/reference which governs this?

Not sure if there is a limit but my local club goes up to €10,000 and stays there until the jackpot is won.

Local Parish lottos where I live are capped at €20k
 
I don't think there is any limit. They do have to comply with the gaming and lotteries act and obtain a licence from the courts. Your local Garda Superintendent or solicitor will advise you.
