Filter will not open in washing machine

Anyone recommend a way to get to this from within ? I tried putting a pliers on the filter to assist in turning but I succeeded in breaking the actual handle in the middle. Sio I need to get into the filter somehow to remove whatever is jamming it. It's a bosch and I'll gladly pay someone a reasonable callout charge to fix it.

callout charge to where?

can you super-glue re-inforcing bits of plastic to bridge across the remaining part of the handle (like a sandwich) and use something like a vice-grips to turn the filter?

Dublin. As I can't get it off altogether I can't check whether it will leak through the handle now. I googled a fix which I'll try later but it looks like I may need a new part.

its not much use to you now, but I have to remove mine recently and had to tighten it slightly to actually get it to move in the opposite direction. It was well jammed in, however many hair clips and a childs savings were unearthed!
