FETAC LEVEL 5 courses and BTEA.

Hi,

I tried to find those information on the citizensinformation.ie and on the Social Welfare webside but without success, maybe here somebody will help me.
I'm doing Business Studies Course(Level 5) at the moment and I'm getting BTEA payment. I decided that I want to do Beauty Therapy Course next year and I wonder, will I be eligible to receive BTEA payment if I will do Level 5 again??

Its my understanding that a student cannot receive BTEA for 2 academic years in a row if staying at same level. Only way around this is if one were to fail the level 5 course, it would therefore be incomplete and perhaps this would give student opportunity to start different course at level 5. I did Business Studies level 5 last year and have moved onto level 6 this year, I know from students at my college that there are a lot of expenses associated with beauty therapy courses. Hope this helps.
